#IWATH ประกาศสำคัญที่เกิดขึ้นในวงการมวยปล้ำไทยเมื่อวันที่ 30 พฤศจิกายน 2024 คือการเปิดตัวอีกค่ายมวยปล้ำในเครือ SETUP นั่นก็คือ IWA Thailand สืบสานตำนานของ IWA Japan ภายใต้การรับรองของประธาน Tatsukuni ‘Kinroku’ Asano ผู้ล่วงลับโดยตรง

โชว์แรกของ IWA Thailand จะมาในชื่อ Bangkok Navigation มาจากแนวคิดว่าเมื่อสิ่งที่ประสบความสำเร็จและมีรากเหง้าจากดินแดนหนึ่งได้เดินทางมาถึงเมืองไทย สิ่งที่พวกเขาจะพบเห็นคืออะไร และองค์ประกอบของเมืองไทยนั้น จะช่วยให้สิ่งดังกล่าวเจริญงอกงามยิ่งขึ้นได้อย่างไร นี่คือคำถามเดียวกันที่ทำให้เราได้คำตอบอย่างแน่ชัดว่า ‘วงการมวยปล้ำไทยพร้อมแล้ว’ ที่จะสานต่อตำนานของ IWA Japan อย่างสมเกียรติด้วยนักมวยปล้ำและฐานผู้ชมที่แข็งแรง

สำหรับคู่เอกในศึกนี้นั้น เราได้รับเกียรติจาก Pro Wrestling Noah สมาคมมวยปล้ำชั้นนำของญี่ปุ่น ที่อนุญาตให้เราเชิญนักมวยปล้ำระดับโลกอย่าง Naomichi Marufuji อดีตแชมป์ GHC Heavyweight 4 สมัย และเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับนักมวยปล้ำทั่วโลก เช่น AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson เป็นต้น

คู่ต่อสู้ของ Naomichi Marufuji จะถูกประกาศอีกครั้งหลังการประชุมรวมระหว่างทีมบริหาร แต่เรารับรองได้ว่าการปรากฎตัวของเขาในวันเปิดตัว IWA Thailand จะเปลี่ยนหน้าประวัติศาสตร์ของมวยปล้ำไทยได้แน่นอน

[BREAKING] Naomichi Marufuji to Compete in Thailand for the First Time on January 18, 2025!

#IWATH has announced a major development in the Thai pro-wrestling scene on November 30, 2024: the launch of a new wrestling promotion under the SETUP umbrella—IWA Thailand, which will carry on the legacy of IWA Japan under the direct endorsement of the late Tatsukuni "Kinroku" Asano.

The first event for IWA Thailand will be titled Bangkok Navigation, inspired by the idea that when something successful with roots in another land arrives in Thailand, what will they encounter? And how can the unique elements of Thailand help nurture and expand it further? This question led us to the clear answer: the Thai pro-wrestling scene is ready to honor the legacy of IWA Japan with a strong roster of wrestlers and a passionate fanbase.

For the main event, we are honored to have Pro Wrestling Noah, a leading Japanese wrestling promotion, grant us the opportunity to invite Naomichi Marufuji, a four-time GHC Heavyweight Champion and a true inspiration to wrestlers around the world.

Marufuji’s opponent will be announced at a later date, but we can guarantee that his appearance at the launch of IWA Thailand will undoubtedly mark a historic moment in the development of Thai pro-wrestling.
