Naraphat was inspired by a pond filled with cattails and duckweeds located near his childhood home, a pond which was wild and uninviting, teaming with the unknown. The fear the artist had towards the pond mirrored feelings he had towards himself - what lay inside was a scary proposition to explore and reveal. In this exhibition, Naraphat recreates the strange yet familiar wetland right inside PoA White Box and fills it with water plants. Participants can choose to wade in and face what lies within, however uninviting it may be. Her music is often described as psychological, dark, and beautifully haunting. Saowakhon&#39;s solo cello performance &#39;Rest&#39; is the first showcase of The Forbidden Marsh project. This performance features six original songs inspired by the &lsquo;resting state&rsquo; before a person transitions into the next stage of life. A single flower holds our hidden thoughts and emotions. A single flower connects us all&quot; In this butoh performance by Sineenadh Kietprapai, the audience members are encouraged to open up all senses and listen closely to the echoes of nature expressed through her physical movements and live music by Payap Kaewkred. This performance was also inspired by Naraphat Sakarthornsap, the installation artist himself, and his approach of telling personal life stories through flowers.Butoh, also known as the &ldquo;dance of darkness,&rdquo; emerged from post-war Japan as a part of the postmodernist movement. It&rsquo;s typically characterised by dancers covered in white body paint using slow hyper-controlled physical contortions and expressing extreme emotions/movements that are deeply connected to the nature of <a tabindex="-1"></a>being. In the present day, different butoh groups in the world explore the concept beyond just dancing, creating new expressions for this art form.<hr><img src="https://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/tm-img-description/36b03f91a0d211ed911101117567899b.jpg" style="width: 254px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-fil">Forbidden Seed/Pandora&#39;s Bloom Shibari performance by Yada.Kinbaku, Tati Limati, and Annmanee Singhanart 25-26 FEB 2023 19.00 - 20.00 Forbidden Seed and Pandora&#39;s Bloom were inspired by a known greek mythology of Pandora&#39;s box. By performing intriguing, ritual-like routines of rope bondage, the artists invite you to navigate your repressed wants and desires. Similar to the secrets held in Pandora&#39;s box, these seeds of desires are waiting to be released into the fertile marsh, where diverse identities can grow strong and thrive in their true forms. This series of shibari performances are divided into two parts. The first night will be &#39;Forbidden Seed&#39; by a Thai artist Yada.Kinbaku. The second night will be &#39;Pandora&#39;s Bloom&#39; by a Unkranian artist Tati Limati. Both showcases will have live music accompaniment by Annmanee Singhanart.<hr>
